Danesh Jayatilaka is a Researcher working on forced migration issues. He has a PhD in economics and masters and bachelor’s degrees in business administration. Danesh has worked with several agencies and research institutions in various capacities for nearly 20 years.

Rajith W. D. Lakshman (PhD, Melb) - Director

Rajith is an economist and a researcher working on a broad range of migration related topics. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Mebourne and over 15 years of post-doctoral research experiece. Rajith has experience working with organizations such as the UNHCR, the ILO, Plan International, the UK home office, COMCEC/OIC performing policy advice work and evaluations.

Senior Prof. K. Amirthalingam (PhD, Cmb) - Director

K. Amirthalingam is a Senior Professor in Economics attached to the Department of Economics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He works both as a researcher and development consultant with a special interest in public finance, Sri Lankan economy and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Ranmini Vithanagama (PhD, Cmb) - Director

Ranmini Vithanagama has a PhD in economics and is a consultant researcher at the International Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES). She holds a BA (Economics) from the University of Colombo and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Colombo. She is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Her research interests span internal displacement, gender and poverty-related issues, and macroeconomic studies in developing countries. She has worked with Oxford Policy Management, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank as a country researcher and consultant on various assignments related to her research interests. She is also a freelance financial analyst with a special interest in the banking sector.
