Conduct academic research on all forms of migration and issues related to development in Sri Lanka.
Build knowledge and understanding on the interaction between migration and development specifically in relation to poverty reduction, livelihoods promotion, and economic development
Provide and share research evidence to improve policy among government, donor, labour, business, and research communities
To act as a platform for researchers to conduct studies of professional standards while accessing a rich network of local and international linkages
To facilitate capacity building among individuals and institutions related to migration and development.
